Find an ancient city. Use jetpack on hover mode and scan the walls and ceilings of the ancient city. You'll find atleast a couple ATModium. After a little while of searching ancient cities I just setup a few ATModium bees and haven't needed to do anything else.You're on the right path - just takes a while to build up the infrastructure to the point of the colony being self-sufficient.
